Zack Elisio, PhD, LMFT-AS

Background

I received my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.  My research interests were in bereavement in families, childhood loss, couples in distress, conflict and family hopelessness.

I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania.  I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from West Chester University and my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University.  I am certified in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT).

I am also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

Approach

I have learned that connection with others and with oneself is a powerful tool to heal the devastating blows life can deliver. Symptomatic patterns often result in people becoming lost or stuck in repetitive patterns that contribute to us not living our full-lives.

I embrace a strength-based, relational framework that supports people in interpersonal as well as individual challenges. I incorporate ESFT/family systems work as well as humanistic approaches to support people in creating the best lives for themselves.

Specialties Include:

-Couple Conflict

-Family Conflict

-Families in Transition

-Children & Adolescents

-Depression

-Anxiety

-Self-Worth

-Relational Distress

-Family Hopelessness

-Grief/Loss

-Trauma

I have limited availability in the mornings and early afternoon.
