FAQ

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy can benefit everyone.  Life frequently presents many challenges and difficulties and therapy is a great way to work through those.  Therapy can help individuals on many levels, whether it's due to a major change in your life, or you just want someone to talk to. Therapy is a form of self care and can have positive results for anyone who wants to try it.

What can I expect?

Therapy should always be client focused so what you can expect is completely up to you.  Therapy works to bring clarity and understanding to an individual.  What you want out of therapy will be the focus for all sessions and will be discussed with you at the first session.

How long does therapy last?

The length of therapy is determined by the goals of the individual and what the individual is coming to therapy for.  Stopping therapy is completely at the discretion of the individual.  Length of therapeutic services will be discussed between the individual and therapist to make sure it is based on what is best for the individual.

How often do I go to therapy?

This again is completely up to the individual.  Depending on the goals of therapy, therapy is usually a weekly or bi-weekly appointment, until the individual feels better.  Therapy can also be on a monthly or on an as needed basis.

Can I sometimes come in person and sometime do virtual sessions?

Of course! It seems virtual sessions are going to be the way of the future as it can be very convenient to the individual.  If you wish to change from an in-person session to a virtual session, just let your therapist know and they will send you a link that will allow you to come to your session virtual at your scheduled time.   Unsure if virtual is for you?  Your therapist can speak with you about the pro's and con's of virtual therapy.

How do I schedule a session?

The best way to schedule an initial session is to email A Nurturing Mind at info@anurturingmind.com or call us at 610-290-8566.  A brief, 15 minute, free consult will be scheduled to make sure A Nurturing Mind is a good fit for your needs.  After the call, you will have consents sent to you electronically, as well as, a brief questionnaire about what you would like out of therapy.  After those are completed, you will have access to an electronic calendar so you can schedule your appointment for a time that is most convenient for you!
