Background

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Millersville University and am currently completing my Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Capella University. I have a passion for working with students of all ages and am on the path to becoming certified in play therapy. My prior job experience consists of childcare and training in behavioral analysis as an aide in a special needs school setting. I have a passion for working with families and couples. My prior experience has taught me patience and understanding for families with members who possess different physical, emotional, and academic abilities. I aspire to provide support for all communities and people of all ages. 

Approach

I believe that therapy should be a safe space for people of all ages to be authentically themselves without fear of judgment. My goal is to follow clients' life stories and work together with them to understand how where they came from informs their patterns and behaviors now. This is a collaborative and exciting process that can lead to an understanding of what one wants and desires for their future. I will then support them to create that positive change! I work from a systemic perspective that aims to empower my clients to give themselves the attention and understanding it takes to support them in their individual goals.
