Background
I received my Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology from Immaculata University. After teaching, I followed my passion in serving the elderly. My work in long-term care has given me the privilege of supporting families and their loved ones as they navigated their journey of change, life transitions, self-care and end of life matters.
After working in long term care for 30 years, I returned to school and completed my Masters degree in Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan University. For my graduate internship, I gained experience working with children with ADHD, running sibling groups, and partnering with agencies who serve domestic violence survivors.
Approach
I value the importance of human connection and provide a warm and inviting space for those to share freely. I provide support and empathy, without judgement. I see each person as an unique individual and take a collaborative approach to build our therapeutic relationship.
Coming into the therapy room can feel a bit overwhelming. I prioritize you feeling seen and heard and will make sure you feel this is your space. Together, we will work to uncover and highlight strengths, create goals, explore patterns, and take the steps needed to create the change you desire.
I integrate relational, solution-focused, strengths based, and narrative therapies into sessions and will always show up as my authentic self.
