Background
I am a Licensed Social Worker who received both my Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Social Work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 10 and 25. I am passionate about issues that affect queer and trans individuals and bring a social justice-oriented approach to my practice. I practice within a trauma-informed framework with a focus on the body-mind connection.
Approach
Adolescence and young adulthood are periods marked by incredible potential and possibility. Working with adolescents and young adults as they create and assert their identities is a privilege. As a therapist working with this population, I strive to create a safe environment for my clients to navigate this intense stage while challenging them to grow as individuals. I believe in incorporating family work into the therapeutic journey wherever it is feasible to do so.
My areas of focus are LGBTQ+ issues, identity formation, post-traumatic growth, and self-image. I strive to bring creativity and humor to the therapeutic space wherever possible. My practice is based in somatic work, trauma theory, and queer theory.
