Background
I graduated in 2017 with my Bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. After graduation, I went into the nonprofit sector in which I worked with individuals with disabilities and underprivileged families, leading groups focused on identifying emotions and healing relationships between mothers and their children. Through this experience, I began my graduate program in clinical counseling at Capella University and graduated with my Masters in Clinical Counseling.
Approach
I have a special interest in working with teens and young adults who struggle with body image issues, anxiety, trauma, and those working through life stage transitions. When working with adolescents and children, I recognize the importance of involving the caregiver in the therapy and enjoys leading sessions with the family to explore the relationship dynamics, practice communication between caregiver(s) and the child and identify solutions to any issues within the family. I use an eclectic approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused approaches to create an approach that is as unique as the client. I strive to create a safe environment that emphasizes the therapeutic relationship to meet my clients where they are and help them heal themselves.
